The Madison County Master Gardeners are community volunteers who support and engage in projects and activities that will enhance the quality of life for Madison County residents.
What Do Master Gardeners Do?
Master Gardeners are volunteers who love to garden and help others. We complete a Master Gardener Training Program, which is presented by our sponsor, the University of Tennessee Extension Service. Training sessions are held every year in the Fall. Our volunteers donate at least 25 hours a year on Official Master Gardener Projects that enhance the agricultural beauty and quality of living in Madison County. We also complete at least 8 hours of Continuing Education annually.
How to Get Involved...
If you are interested in becoming a Tennessee Master Gardener, please call or email Jake Mallard, Extension Agent, at 731-668-8543. The next training session will be in the Fall. You are also welcome to attend our open Master Gardener Meetings held monthly in Jackson.
